Description
In this sequence of lessons, we will learn about Gas Laws and the Kinetic Molecular Theory of Gases in Chemistry.
First, we will explore the concept of pressure of a gas. Next, we will learn about Boyle's law, Charles's Law, the Combined Gas Law, and the Ideal Gas Law. These laws are fundamental to understanding Gases in Chemistry and are the key to understanding how the Pressure, Temperature, and Volume of a gas are related to one another.
Next, we will solve chemical reaction problems that involve stoichiometry with gases present in the reaction.
Finally, we will learn about the Kinetic Molecular Theory of Gases, diffusion, effusion, and more. In this portion of the course, we explore how a gas behaves on a molecular level. We will discuss the kinetc energy of gas molecules and how it relates to the gas temperature. We will also discuss and work problems that deal with the speed of gas molecules and how molecular collisions gives rise to the concept of gas pressure.
The student will gain practice by working detailed problems that show step-by-step how to arrive at the answer.
How are the MathTutorDVD Tutorial's different?
The answer is simple. Most instruction involves a lengthy discussion of the theory before instructing the student in how to solve problems.
In the vast majority of the cases the student quickly gets bored and frustrated by the time he or she starts to solve the problems. This course, in contrast, teaches all of the concepts by working fully worked problems step-by-step, which is a much more engaging way to learn.

Exceptional value and affordability!
MathTutorDVD believes in providing value for our customers. All MathTutor DVD Tutorials cover between 3 and 14 hours of lectures, and considering the cost, each MathTutor DVD set therefore costs LESS than additional private tuition, and you may rewatch the lessons as many times as needed to master the material!
What is our teaching style like?
All topics on this DVD are taught by working example problems. There are no traditional lectures of background material that won't help you solve problems and improve your skills. We believe in teaching-by-doing and that is what you will receive by watching this DVD.
Undetermined coefficients is explained, for example, by working many problems in step-by-step detail. We begin with the easier problems and work our way up to the harder problems.
The student immediately gains confidence, does not get bored, and quickly feels like he or she can conquer the material. This method is extremely powerful and has proven itself time and again. Perhaps most importantly, problem solving skills are honed early on that will help with homework and taking exams even after watching the very first lesson.
